MEET OUR STAFF

OWNER, Repair Tech, Guy that gets to answer all hard questions!

(Gordie to his friends) joined the staff in 2014 originally helping with the monthly series of Design Software Classes. In the fall of 2014 he received certification as a repair tech on Husqvarna Viking and Singer Machines. In May 2015 he attended the renowned Ray White Repair Courses receiving certification on non-computerized and post-warranty machines. Upon completion, this course he took over all repair services on site.

Gordie came to the business through a rather non-traditional route. A graduate of The United States Military Academy and Purdue University School of Civil Engineering for many years he ran his own surveying practice until recalled to active duty after 9-11. Injured while deployed to Afghanistan he was medically retired in 2012.

Having assisted his mother in her quilting endeavors for years and unable to return to surveying due to injuries, he became interested in embroidery and quilting for himself after attending the Paducah Quilt Show in 2013. Shortly after returning from Paducah, he bought an embroidery machine and has developed a growing passion for all aspects of the fabric arts.
