Many folks want to learn to sew, and either BUY or Receive a NEW machine as a gift and  have no one to mentor them in how to use it and don't know where to turn for help....
Many of the machines returned to the Big Box Stores are found to function FINE, the problem is lack of basic knowledge of operation...

We often wonder how often folks are turned off to the hobby because they get frustrated from what they don't know. We are here for YOU!

These CLASSES are geared for the novice sewist who has received a new machine and is either unfamiliar or unknowledgeable of the basics...

These classes were originally intended for folks who have obtained a NEW SINGER machine from the Big Box Stores, Amazon, HSN, or recognized retailer that does not provide support. WE, at IQD, have decided to open these classes up to ANY BRAND of new machine..

TOPICS that will be COVERED in the class:

- What is this Doo-Hick REALLY suppose to be called?

- Selecting the Correct Notions for your Machine (Needles, Bobbins, Thread,  etc)

- How to Wind the BOBBINS

- Threading Your Machine

- Basic Trouble Shooting

- What are the different feet that came with the machine?

- Do I need other Feet & Accessories?

- Basic Owner Maintenance to keep your machine running

- Questions and answers?

WHAT these classes ARE NOT:

- These are NOT sewing classes to teach you how to sew, they are to familiarize you with your machine. Sewing classes are scheduled and Private lessons can be arranged.

- We may briefly touch on Sergers and embroidery machines but the FOCUS of this class is sewing machines.

WHEN you register, WE NEED to KNOW WHAT MACHINE YOU HAVE. This is part of why we need the three days advanced registration. It gives us a chance to familiarization ourselves with your machine and it's operation if it is one we are not as familiar.
