What is the “For The Brave” event?

This event starting in March 2022 celebrates the 10th Anniversary of Stars & Stripes collection. Enjoy a year full of giveaways, contests and a Quilt Along with Patti Carey of Patti's Patchwork!

What if I miss one of the monthly blocks?

Don’t worry! We will send out an email each month with links to Patti’s block tutorials and much more!

Besides all my quilting tools and Stars & Stripes Anniversary Quilt pattern, what will I need to participate?

You will need to use our Stars & Stripes 10th Anniversary collection to be eligible to win the monthly giveaways. The creative contest projects can be made using the 10th Anniversary collection and any existing Stars & Stripes coordinates included in the collection. Check the Resources section on our website to view the collection as well as the Creative Contest Info & Rules.

Where and how can I enter the giveaways and contests?

Our giveaways will take place on the @NorthcottFabric Instagram account. The creative contests will be hosted on Woobox. Information about our contests will be shared on our Instagram and Facebook accounts closer to the date. Be sure to follow us, use the hashtag #ForTheBrave2022 and remember to turn on our Instagram post notifications to not miss out!

Welcome Northcott fabric enthusiasts to For The Brave 2022! We are excited that you have chosen to participate in our creative contest to celebrate the 10th Anniversary of Stars & Stripes.

Please read the full rules and guidelines below before participating.

There are two contests to celebrate the 10th Anniversary of Stonehenge Stars & Stripes: Celebrate the 4th of July and Wear Your Patriotic Pride.

In order to successfully submit your entry into either of the two creative contests, Celebrate the 4th of July or Wear Your Patriotic Pride, your creation needs to be completed using the Stars & Stripes 10th Anniversary collection and existing Stars & Stripes coordinates. All project submissions require a minimum of 5 fabrics from the Stars & Stripes 10th Anniversary collection, clearly visible on the outer layer. The style, size and design of your submission is up to your creative discretion. The use of any color thread, applique, embroidery, batting, zippers, clasps, buttons and any other fastenings are permitted. No fabric alterations, such as dyeing or bleaching, will be accepted. All projects must be completed and finished with binding if applicable. Visible competition will be at the discretion of the Northcott For The Brave team.

Submission and voting entry will take place on Woobox. One (1) image will be accepted to showcase your fabulous creation using Stars & Stripes 10th Anniversary collection. Please choose the best photograph that will display important features to consider such as the inside lining, back, front, straps, etc. if applicable.If submitting a jacket, it must be a finished, quilted garment.

Upon submission, further project details and information may be requested. Failure to disclose requested information will result in disqualification. Please include an email address and phone number with your photo submission. One (1) submission per IP address will be allowed. Only approved submissions by the Northcott For The Brave team will be chosen to be voted on by the public. During voting week, one (1) vote for each IP address will be allowed every 24 hours.

Celebrate the 4th of July begins April 2022. Submissions will be accepted by June 23rd, 2022. Voting will take place between June 24th and June 29th. Three winners will be announced on June 30th, 2022 via social media platforms. Prizes valued for each winner will be $200+ USD each – comprised of a variety of donations from our sponsors. Project suggestions include quilts, garments, tote bags, wall hangings, etc. Open to USA residents only.

Wear Your Patriotic Pride begins August 2022. Submissions will be accepted by November 1st, 2022. Voting will take place between November 2nd and November 7th. Three winners will be announced on November 8th, 2022 via social media platforms. Prizes valued for each winner will be $200+ USD each – comprised of a variety of donations from our sponsors. Must submitted a finished wearable jacket. Open to USA residents only.
