The Merritt 1872 is a solid little BEGINNER sewing machine
In addition to the Straight Stitch, it also has a zig-zag and an adjustable needle position. 

This machine has been fully serviced and is offered with a 45 day Guarantee on parts & operation. Quality of the stitching can be seen in the attached photo. 

The only issue with this machine is that it has been splattered with some paint and is thus bespeckled. THIS IN NO WAY effects operation of the machine.
